Why don't they use this tech for making more durable displays? If it's bendable then it's can't be broken, right?

For $1300 that should have 1tb. Wasting money to develop foldable phone but battery and storage still suck.

With any new design concept comes risk.; sometimes they work and sometimes not. At least these companies are trying.Apart from the very original iPhone Apple has simply sat on their laurels and wait until these innovations become mainstream then produce one claiming its a new fresh idea.

This could be useful for people who mainly watch youtube videos on their phone, I imagine being able to unfold for a larger and easier-to-see display would be a very nice thing to have.

We went from non-folding phones with a small screen and push buttons, to flip-phones, then back to non-folding smartphones, and folding smartphones again... Technology comes full circle and very quickly

pfff...apple could fold their tablets for years and now samsung copycat caches up.(NOTE : its a one time fold, after that you need to pay double the price, no no triple, i mean 99999$ dollars to unfold it from the apple store.) (or you could just give it to any other person in the planet for 80$)

I think that the foldable smartphones will not be the future. They don’t suit as a daily driver.

If apple were to make a foldable iPhone, it would cost nearly over $3000.

i don't care for a foldable phone, but can you please PLEASE put that screen in a normal phone so that my display doesn't brake every 3 frecking months ? i guess not because that would hurt the sales right...

Anyone else believe they need to remake the HTC One with the touch screen smartphone on top with slideout full button qwerty keyboard?! I loved that phone... sad they got rid of physical keyboards, home buttons and headphone jacks!

I think it’s great. I’m using an iPhone SE, because I like my phone to be handy and fit my Jeans’ front pocket. So if foldable phones will help shrink down the form factor back to what used to be normal, I’m all for it.

Eh, I am glad they are developing the technology. It would be sweet to see what they can come up with once the flexible OLED is more developed.
