Every women is beautiful but you have to understand people have opinions, some light people WANT to be dark so badly, some dark people might WANT to be lighter. I believe every skintone is gorgeous but everyone has opinions on what looks better on themselves, I would like to be darker because I look dead tbh... All people are beautiful, all skintones, races, and genders. God made us the way we are, we are allowed to wish to be different because everyone has self doubt, but you don't have to change yourself based on society or celebrities. Tan, bleach your skin, wear makeup, don't wear makeup, dye your hair, cut your hair, wear contacts, surgeries, etc. If you want to change, I understand but you don't have to, but you are your own person. Edit: Please don't leave hate, I'm simply saying you are allowed to do what you want to your body. Also once you are dead none of this will really matter, live in the moment but don't change for others, improve or make changes because YOU want to.

Yasss Jackie! They do look ghostly, more like zombie pale. Like they don't have the greenish or pinkish undertone in their skin that says they are alive!!! Like white people have these Warman cool tones that you can see radiating through their skin. While people of color(people with higher melanin) more of a yellow and red I find and if you strip out the tones that are giving you this hue, your left with some chalky skin color. I find that everyone has something they want to change about themselves but I find skin color is the same as weight-loss you don't automatically become pretty just because you are lighter or thinner. There are many white ugly people just as many black ugly people. If you ugly you ugly, and no amount of skin bleaching or weight-loss surgery will change that. You might be able to change your face around to looking a little more normal but at that b point everyone will just assume you used to be ugly because it will enjoy so obvious you had surgery. So I always ask like yo? What was the point? You need to make peace with your ugliness cause you always gon be ugly to somebody no matter what you do. So why harm yourself for that?

I have never clicked on a vid faster when I saw fair and fucking lovely. My parents were born in another country and they also have morals where lighter skin is better and I’ve gone through a lot as a dark girl. No one ever confronts these issues so I’d love to thank you!!

Woah. You opened my mind. I didn't know skin bleaching was really such a thing. I wrote "bleached dark skin" on google images, and I was surprised. I didn't realize that Beyoncé, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj used to be darker. I thought I don't know, their skin color were naturally like that? Or maybe they're just not purely black? Or just a photoshop/light effect? Or perhaps they just used to be more tan? Like, black people do get darker too in the sun. I would imagine celebrities avoiding the skin-aging sun even more than the pleb. I personnally try to avoid the sun to prevent skin aging, making me quite white, but I have no problem with my skin color... altough I did looked really white and nerdy (weird al yankovic ;) ) during my vacations in Jamaïca while I had to wear a big hat and t-shirt so I wouldn't fry, and felt very self-aware among the worryless dancing sunshine-filled Jamaïcans... hahaha ;)Anyway, all that to say, I'm surprised, and I think you're right. I got so used to see black celebrities with lighter skin, I didn't realize it's not actually natural. Like, yeah, I see dark skin people in the street, but living in Canada, they tend to get lighter over time. I'm just so confused now about the standard skin color non-white people are supposed to have... This is so stupid. Dark skin can be so beautiful and really sexy. Why bleaching it so much? I actually liked Beyoncé, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj when they were darker.

I remember in sixth grade when one of my “friends” told me “You would look pretty if you were white” and that made me really self conscious about my skin. Honestly we need to rid the world of these toxic people.

My family is from italy and all of them are pale but my mom fell in love with my dad who was a black man, so my skin color is like coffee with milk, but then my dad died when I was 5 years old so I guess I felt alone because I didn't have anyone to relate with, I always felt like something was wrong with me, I felt like the ugly one in the family and I remember praying to god to be pale as my mom when I was just 8, it's incredible how society makes you think and controls you, now I'm 16 years old and I LOVE my skin color gurllll i am a brunette mamacita 😂🙅❤

I know my situation is the absolute opposite of it, but i just wanted to say something. I always had very pale, veery fair skin, almost ghostly. I got teased because of that, and my family would tell me to keep tanning so i would look more beautiful. My mom would point and dark skin people on beach and say "gurl look at them so chocolaty so beautiful, why dont you tan a bit too" I always liked my own skin and wanted to keep it even tho every shade is beautiful too. My mom still says i should tan a little but who cares?

  • I don’t know a name So yeah

You go girl! I’m white myself (like litterly white god I’m so pale) but I stand 100% behind your opinion! Why would you change your own made unique&beautiful colour?! Lots of people say “God wanted you to be like you are” and at some points I agree 100%! Black or whithe we shouldn’t even care! Be like who you are en just live with it biatch.

I like my skin but sometimes i do feel pressures to look a certain way especially people of color and when you live in an area with white as the majority you can’t help but want to fit in

I know I’m not black and bleaching the skin isn’t really directed towards me but this is why I don’t tan as well. Everyone should just love themselves and I’m white as paper and everyone says tan looks better yet I’m still out here rocking my pale ass and so are these gorgeous black women rocking their color. Just my opinion though. 🤷‍♀️

I don’t like the idea of skin bleaching. I think you should accept who you are. Because we’re all beautiful, no matter what your skin color is.

Wow...I didn't know that 😱...that is so sad that people are doing that....I completely agree with u that we should love who we are...I love dark people. I am Hispanic and my dad is a little darker brown and I am like a light coffee color. My husband is light skin but his dad is dark like Jamaican and I would always tell him that I wanted my baby to be be darker because I think they are cute 😍. Skin pride !!!!❤❤❤

Glad that you’re not afraid to get into this. It NEEDS to be talked about!! This is disgusting and harmful to women and children. Even males. Colorism is a real problem. We need to keep this convo going! I’ve had it with people coming for me and people like you for speaking up. Thank you for being consistent ❤️❤️❤️
